An Established Title Company

Jeffries Abstract and Title Company is proud to have been serving Laclede County, Missouri since 1873, and holds the title of the oldest business in the county.

The business was established by E.B. Kellerman in 1873 in the building he constructed on Commercial Street. This same building continues to house the company today.

In the early 1940s, T. Victor Jeffries purchased the business. Mr. Jeffries was a prominent Laclede County attorney and was also the author of "Before the Dam Water". Helen Siperko bought the company from Mr. Jeffries in 1976 after many years of working for Mr. Jeffries. She began her career by certifying abstracts and keeping the title plant up to date.

Helen and her husband, Bill, raised their family in Lebanon and their daughters have raised their families here as well. The family has strong ties to the community and they are proud to call the area "home".

Upon Helen's promotion to Heaven, her daughters are continuing the family business. They have added a business partner, Randall R. Sutter who is also a native of the community.

Family owned and locally operated means that Jeffries Abstract is familiar with the area, its history and its residents. The people of Jeffries Abstract aren't just some nameless employees searching the county records, we are your neighbors and we are here to help. For assistance with title insurance, give us a call today at 417-532-7189.
